Cleveland Dog Fashion Show for Keep A Breast Foundation
Two things that make me really, really happy are dogs and altruism. Combine the two and I am there! Recently, the Downtown Cleveland Dog Park put on an event at Aloft Hotel for Keep A Breast Foundation. Tito's Vodka donated drinks and an adorable dog house (that funny enough, the tiniest pup won! I really hope to see images of that from his mom!). This event meant a little more to me, personally, because in 2017 I lost my mom from breast cancer. She was an amazing person, civil litigator, and fellow animal lover. If you are hosting a fundraiser in Northeast Ohio, or you are a part of a non-profit in the area, please reach out to me about photo and video event coverage. It is truly my pleasure to be a part of these events.
If you haven't already, download the Keep A Breast app on your phone and set a monthly reminder to #CheckYourself! 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer (and 1 in 1000 men!). A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States every three minutes. Did you know that a the chances of a breast cancer patient being alive just five years after diagnoses is actually lower in women under 40? Tumors diagnosed in younger women tend to be more aggressive and less responsive to treatment. Please check yourself routinely!
Now - onto the cute dog photos!
Shake it off! All the dogs showed off their pizzazz and skills to the crowd. Each dog strutted the "catwalk" - er, maybe dogwalk in this case? - and pleased the crowd with their happy faces, cute costumes, and fantastic tricks! They're all winners in my book.
Clearly, little "Tuxedo penguin" here was widely loved by the young ladies! (Tuxedo is an adorable and sweet Yorkie pup.)
